2018 Tunkalilla Vineyard Riesling
AVERÆN Riesling is sourced exclusively from the Tunkalilla Vineyard, a tiny specialist Riesling vineyard perched on the southern facing end escarpment of the Eola-Amity hills, planted in Volcanic Jory soils, just above the Missoula floodline at 600 feet elevation. Late-ripening and windy enough to mitigate overt disease pressure. We picked at the very early stages of botrytis development.

TASTING NOTES |
A beautiful floral nose with juicy melon and savory herb aromas. These scents continue to unfold on the palate along with ripe apple, citrus zest, and a burst of minerality. The wine is precociously aus- tere, reminiscent of top German Rieslings with a few years of age.
