2016 NYSA Vineyard Pinot Noir
NYSA is arguably the Willamette Valley’s most hallowed vineyard site, meticulously farmed by Michael Mega. The vineyard shares a fenceline with Domaine Drouhin and also neighbors Renegade Ridge (Archery Summit) and Domaine Serene. Southeast facing slopes at 675 feet elevation with Jory soils - the famous red dirt, volcanic soils typical of Dundee. Planted in 1988 to Pommard, Coury, Dijon-115 and Dijon-777 clones, all of which are self-rooted.

“A highly aromatic bouquet evokes red fruit liqueur, mocha and Asian spices, along with a smoky mineral overtone. Juicy, seamless and precise on the palate, offering sweet raspberry, rose pastille and spicecake flavors that deepen and spread out steadily with air. Conveys a suave blend of richness and finesse and finishes with supple, harmonious tannins and outstanding clarity and floral-tinged persistence.” - Josh Raynolds, Vinous
