2019 Eola Springs Vineyard Pinot Noir

Eola Springs Vineyard sits on the west side of the appellation, exposed to the Van Duzer Corridor’s winds, but situated low enough on the hill to not be obliterated. The vineyard was planted in 1972 to Pommard and Dijon clones, oriented to the southwest at 340 feet elevation. The soils are a combination of volcanic Nekia and Jory.

“A highly complex bouquet displays an array of red and blue fruit preserve, floral and exotic spice scents, along with suggestions of smoky minerals, cola and incense. Palate-staining, appealingly sweet black raspberry, cherry liqueur and spicecake flavors show excellent depth and develop a floral note through the back half. Well-concentrated but comes off lithe, with an impressively long, floral-driven finish.”
