2010 Les Chemins D'Avize
From the Chemin de Plivot and Chemin de Flavigny lieux-dits, located in the Grand Cru village of Avize. Deep chalky soil and poor or nearly no topsoil, on a south- east facing hill. The Larmandiers purchased a small press in order to vinify this singular wine separately in 2009 (it was previously included in Longitude).
Fermentation in old oak casks with four years aging on the lees.

“A total knock-out. Lemon peel, flowers, mint and white pepper are some of the many notes that race out of the glass. Vibrant, powerful and beautifully sculpted, the Chemins d’Avize oozes character. Powerful and yet also light on its feet, the 2010 is a striking wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. This is an especially vinous, powerful expression of the Co^te des Blancs.” - Antonio Galloni
