New arrivals from Austria have landed from our Wachau producer, FJ Gritsch Mauritiushof. We began working with this estate about midway through the 2010 vintage, so our allocations were smaller due to both timing and a small crop. For the 2011 vintage line up, we have added quite a few additional wines to the line up including one of our personal favorites, the Axpoint Federspeil. The 2011 harvest was an outstanding one, especially coming off of the two 'more challenging' previous vintages. In general, the 2011s are strong and dense wines with a harmonic acidity, purity of fruit, and great ageing potential.
